Devrim Arslan
Devrim Arslan, giornalista di etnia curda, lavora da oltre trent’anni nella stampa indipendente curda e internazionale, occupandosi di cronaca, politica, diritti umani e questioni di genere. Inizia la sua carriera nei primi anni Novanta con il quotidiano Özgür Gündem, uno dei primi giornali indipendenti curdi in Turchia. La collaborazione rimane di breve durata a causa del contesto politico e delle restrizioni sulla stampa libera. Prosegue poi a lavorare con Özgür Politika in Europa, dove consolida la sua formazione professionale. Nel corso degli anni collabora con diverse testate, tra cui Demokrasi, Yeniden Özgür Gündem, Mezopotamya Ajansı, Fırat News Agency, Roj TV e Sterk TV, occupandosi di redazione, reportage e coordinamento editoriale.
Ha svolto anche il ruolo di corrispondente presso l’Unione Europea, seguendo da vicino le relazioni tra le istituzioni europee e il mondo curdo.
Dal 2021 fa parte di JIN TV, emittente femminista curda, dove lavora nella redazione delle notizie e nella conduzione dei telegiornali, e all’interno del comitato editoriale, contribuendo alla linea e ai contenuti dell’emittente.
Devrim Arslan is a kurdish journalist. She has worked for over thirty years in the independent Kurdish and international press, covering news, politics, human rights, and gender issues. She began her career in the early 1990s with the daily newspaper Özgür Gündem, one of the first independent Kurdish newspapers in Turkey, but her collaboration was short-lived due to the political context and restrictions on the free press. She then went on to work with Özgür Politika in Europe, where she consolidated her professional training. Over the years, she has collaborated with various publications, including Demokrasi, Yeniden Özgür Gündem, Mezopotamya Ajansı, Fırat News Agency, Roj TV, and Sterk TV, working in editing, reporting, and editorial coordination.
She also served as a correspondent for the European Union, closely following relations between European institutions and the Kurdish world.
Since 2021, she has been part of JIN TV, a Kurdish feminist broadcaster, where she works in news editing and television news presenting, and on the editorial committee, contributing to the broadcaster’s editorial line and content.
